Yesterday, I was pleased to be represented by my Wellbeing Foundation Africa team at the Nigeria Launch of Women&Co Pathfinder International’s Strategy and Innovation platform for women-led solutions in health and climate, in Abuja, an occasion recognising the leadership and ingenuity of women driving solutions across health, climate, and economic opportunity.

At this pivotal time, women’s participation in innovation is essential to national progress. When women have equitable access to information, resources, and decision-making spaces, outcomes improve across communities, and development gains are sustained. Their perspectives, shaped by experience and proximity to local need, are critically relevant to effective policy and practice.

Women&Co offers a structured platform through which women co-design solutions, develop enterprises, and contribute to national development priorities. Rooted in Pathfinder International’s longstanding relationships and technical expertise, the platform supports advancement that is informed, practical, and locally grounded.

I commend Pathfinder International for this strategic initiative, and acknowledge the leadership of Dr Amina Dorayi, Country Director, Pathfinder International Nigeria, and her team on this significant launch. Women advancing innovation will help shape a more inclusive and prosperous future for all.
