I join the global health community in welcoming 2025 as we begin the first work week of the year, and highlight the necessity to turn the page on challenges and chart a new path to secure a healthy and prosperous future for all.
The Wellbeing Foundation Africa Teams enter this year with renewed determination to ensure peace, health, and safety for every mother, child, and family, fulfilling the mandates of our consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, our membership of the World Health Organization Civil Society Commission, our accreditation as a non-State actor with the WHO Regional Committee for Africa, our membership of the United Nations Global Compact, our membership of the WHO Implementing Best Practices Network and as WHO and UNICEF’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in health care facilities members.
The Wellbeing Foundation Africa stands firmly with the global health community to accelerate efforts toward prevention, response, and resilience-building. At the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, we remain steadfast in supporting Universal Health Coverage (UHC), Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH), and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) as fundamental pillars of global health security, beginning the year with our consistent and continuous frontline programming and advocacy, with the mission in 2025 to further embrace collaboration and compassion to transform challenges into opportunities for progress, and deliver wellbeing and health for all.
