Honoured to share a Message of Solidarity at the World Public Relations Forum’s International Women’s Day Special Pre-Event.

On yesterday’s International Women’s Day, I was honoured to share a live Message of Solidarity at the World Public Relations Forum’s International Women’s Day Special Pre-Event, convened under the theme Responsible Communication as a Tool for Advancing Women’s Rights and Social Justice.

I commend the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, and the WPRF Abuja 2026 National Planning Committee for bringing together leaders across diplomacy, civil society, and the global communications community to reflect on the profound responsibility carried by those who shape public narratives.

Communication influences the policies we prioritise, the voices we elevate, and the truths we choose to amplify. When grounded in evidence, integrity, and inclusion, it becomes a powerful instrument for advancing dignity, strengthening trust, and promoting justice for women and girls.

Through my work with The Wellbeing Foundation Africa, I continue to see how responsible communication, trusted community engagement, and accurate information can transform outcomes in maternal, newborn, child, and adolescent health, empowering women and families while strengthening the resilience of our economies and societies.

I continue to stand in solidarity with women in Nigeria, across Africa, and around the world, strengthening our shared commitment to ensuring that the narratives we shape, the language we choose, and the platforms we build contribute to a more equitable and just future for all.
