Honoured to Receive the ARISE Women Making Impact 2025 Award for Healthcare and Social Impact

Yesterday evening, I had the honour of joining an extraordinary gathering of Nigerian and global women leaders at the ARISE Gala – Women Making Impact 2025. Held in commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and marking the grand finale of International Women’s Month, the event was a powerful celebration of the strength, vision, and enduring contributions of women shaping the fabric of our society.

It was both humbling and deeply heartening to be recognised for my contributions to Healthcare and Social Impact, especially alongside so many distinguished Nigerian women across diverse sectors. Their leadership, resilience, and commitment continue to light the path toward a more just, inclusive, and prosperous future for our nation and continent.

In accepting this honour, I took a moment to reaffirm my unwavering dedication, through the work of the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, to advancing a world where health and wellbeing are fundamental human rights. A world where every individual is treated with respect and dignity, and where evidence-based action fuels real, inclusive progress for all.

This recognition was a truly meaningful way to close Women’s Month. I extend my deepest gratitude to the Board of Editors at ARISE News and THISDAY Style for this honour, and I wholeheartedly congratulate the remarkable community of women celebrated alongside me. May we continue to rise, lead, and uplift together.
